FSTest Pyrethroid Rapid Test Kit (10 Tests)
Product Overview
The FSTest Pyrethroid Rapid Test Kit (Colloidal Gold) is a professional-grade, rapid screening tool engineered for the qualitative detection of pyrethroid insecticide residues in fresh fruits and vegetables. Pyrethroids, including Lambda-Cyhalothrin, Cyhalothrin, and Deltamethrin, are among the most widely monitored active ingredients in global agricultural surveillance. Maintaining strict residue tracking is essential for agricultural crop growers, fresh food exporters, and laboratory auditors striving to comply with stringent international food safety regulations and Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs).
By eliminating the immediate necessity for complex, expensive laboratory infrastructure, this field-ready assay simplifies sample extraction into a streamlined, room-temperature workflow. It serves as a vital first-line defense in fresh produce logistics, supply chain collection points, and corporate quality compliance screening programs.
Product Highlights & Key Benefits
· High-Speed Field Turnaround: Complete the entire assay workflow and achieve highly reliable visual result readouts within just 5 to 8 minutes post-preparation.
· Target Multi-Analyte Detection Limits: Specifically calibrated to detect major pyrethroid compounds at targeted regulatory thresholds, including Lambda-Cyhalothrin at 0.5 mg/kg, Cyhalothrin at 1 mg/kg, and Deltamethrin at 2 mg/kg.
· Fully Self-Contained Kit Architecture: Arrives fully packed with all necessary consumables—including 10 test cassettes, 10 microwells, 1 bottle of dedicated extracting solution (50 mL), 2 sampling bottles (30 mL), and a comprehensive user manual.
· Definite Visual Interpretation: Utilizes a competitive lateral flow immunochromatographic format where an increasing insecticide concentration causes the Test (T) line to fade or completely disappear, removing subjective reading errors.
· Long-Term Ambient Preservation: Unopened test kits can be safely kept tightly sealed in a cool, dry location between 4–30°C for an extended shelf-life of up to 18 months, ensuring substantial logistical flexibility. Do not freeze.
Technical Principle: Lateral Flow Immunochromatography
The test strip is based on a sandwich lateral flow immunochromatography mechanism. The test cassette houses an integrated testing window containing an invisible Test (T) zone and a Control (C) zone before fluidics activation.

Step-by-Step Procedure
1. Simple Sample Extraction & Preparation
· Comminution: Cut the fresh fruit or vegetable sample into small pieces (approx. 0.5 cm x 0.5 cm).
· Primary Extraction: Weigh exactly 1 g of sample pieces into a 30 mL sampling bottle and mix with 3 mL of the provided extracting solution.
· Mixing & Settling: Vortex or shake the bottle thoroughly for 1 minute, then let it stand undisturbed for 1 minute. (Note: If the resulting supernatant liquid layer is cloudy or not completely clear, transfer 1 mL of fluid into a centrifuge tube and centrifuge at 4000 rpm for 3 minutes).
2. Running the Assay
· Prior to testing, ensure the test cassette has equilibrated to a proper operating temperature environment (20–40 degrees C) and place the device on a flat surface.
· Pipette exactly 100 µL of the prepared final sample solution into a reagent microwell, mix gently 3 to 5 times using the pipette, and let it stand undisturbed for 3 minutes.
· Transfer 100 µL of this mixed solution from the microwell directly into the round sample hole on the test cassette.
· Interpret the visual results between 5 to 8 minutes. (Do not read after 8 minutes, as late chemical shifts render the test invalid).
