Product Introduction

FSTest Ractopamine Rapid Test Kit (10 Tests/Kit)

Product Overview

The FSTest Ractopamine Rapid Test Kit is a highly efficient, on-site screening tool developed for the rapid qualitative detection of ractopamine residues. Ractopamine is a beta-agonist 'lean meat powder' additive strictly banned or regulated globally due to potential health risks to consumers. This kit empowers meat wholesalers, slaughterhouses, food processors, and inspectors to perform immediate safety checks, ensuring veterinary drug residues do not compromise food safety guidelines.

Test Principle

This product utilizes an advanced competitive lateral flow immunochromatography assay (Colloidal Gold). When the treated sample liquid is loaded into the sample hole of the device, it flows laterally across the test strip and reacts with pre-coated recombinant antigens.

Competitive Inhibition Reading: The color intensity of the T (Test) line has an opposite correspondence with the ractopamine concentration. High contamination inhibits the binding on the T line, making it lighter than C line or invisible.

Result

Visual Interpretation

Diagnostic Meaning

Positive (+)

The T (Test) line is visibly lighter than the C line, or completely invisible.

High concentration inhibits the T line; ractopamine residue is present.

Negative (-)

The T line develops a strong, clear color equal to or darker than the C line.

Ractopamine levels are absent or below the detection threshold.

Invalid

The C (Control) line fails to develop after the sample is applied.

The assay run is invalid. The test must be repeated using a new strip.

Target Industries & Applicable Matrices

This test kit is engineered for livestock farmers, poultry processors, export/import border controls, and third-party food testing agencies. It is fully optimized for analyzing:

· Meat & Muscle Tissues: Pork, beef, mutton, and other animal muscle samples.

⚠️ Important Sampling Guide: Ensure the homogenized meat sample consists only of muscle tissues, and fat is strictly avoided during preparation to protect result integrity.

⚡ Key Advantages & Application Scenarios

· Ultra-High Sensitivity (0.5 μg/kg LOD): Features an exceptional Limit of Detection (LOD) of 0.5 μg/kg, ensuring that trace chemical residues are effectively captured.

· Rapid Field Mobility: Eradicates the immediate need for heavy and costly laboratory instrumentation like LC-MS/MS during initial sorting, allowing immediate testing on processing floors or receiving docks.

· Chemical Trace Accuracy: Designed to target the exact chemical signature of Ractopamine (CAS No. 97825-25-7, Molecular Weight: 301.38).

Step-by-Step Assay Procedure

Get definitive visual results in less than 30 minutes by following these simple steps:

1. Sample Extraction: Weigh 4 g of homogenized muscle tissue into a 15 mL centrifuge tube, add 1 mL of extracting solution, and vortex or shake thoroughly for 2 minutes.

2. Heat & Centrifuge: Place the centrifuge tube in an 80°C water bath for 10 minutes (ensure the water level surpasses the internal fluid level and watch out for tube leaks). Centrifuge at 4000 rpm for 5 minutes, then cool the supernatant back down to room temperature.

3. Microwell Reaction: Bring the cassette to a 20–40°C environment. Pipette 100 µL of the cooled supernatant into a microwell, mix 3–5 times, and let it stand for 3 minutes.

4. Load & Read: Transfer all the mixed solution into the sample hole of the cassette. Interpret the visual lines between 5–8 minutes.

⚠️ Critical Warning: Results become completely invalid after 8 minutes.

Kit Composition & Storage
