FSTest Organochlorines Rapid Test Kit (10 Tests)

Product Overview

The FSTest Organochlorines Rapid Test Kit (Colloidal Gold) is a professional-grade, rapid screening tool engineered for the qualitative detection of organochlorine pesticide residues in fresh fruits and vegetables. Organochlorines, including Endosulfan, Dieldrin, and Hexachlorocyclohexane (HCH), are highly persistent environmental pollutants and heavily regulated chemical agents widely monitored in global food safety and agricultural trade. Ensuring strict residue tracking is vital for agricultural crop growers, food supply chain operators, and export compliance auditors striving to conform with international food safety standards and Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs).

By eliminating the immediate necessity for complex and costly laboratory infrastructure (such as HPLC or GC-MS), this field-ready assay compresses agricultural chemical extraction into a simplified, room-temperature workflow. It provides an essential first-line defense in fresh produce logistics, crop harvesting points, and corporate food safety compliance screening programs.

Product Highlights & Key Benefits

· High-Speed Field Turnaround: Complete the entire screening assay workflow and read stable, highly reliable visual results within just 8 to 10 minutes post-sample-preparation.

· Target Multi-Analyte Detection Limits: Specifically calibrated to yield dependable qualitative screenings for major organochlorine compounds at strict target regulatory thresholds, including Endosulfan at 5 mg/kg, Dieldrin at 5 mg/kg, and Hexachlorocyclohexane at 5 mg/kg.

· Cost-Effective Consumable Architecture: Arrives fully packed with essential screening materials—including 10 test cassettes, 1 bottle of dedicated safe and non-toxic extracting solution (50 mL), and 2 sampling bottles (30 mL).

· Definite Visual Interpretation: Utilizes a competitive lateral flow immunochromatographic assay format where the color intensity of the Test (T) line shares an opposite correspondence with the organochlorines concentration, removing analytical ambiguity.

· High Specificity & Zero Cross-Reactivity: Proven to stay entirely unaffected by non-target agrochemicals. Samples containing up to 1 mg/L of alternative common treatments—including Thiamethoxam, Triazophos, Parathion, Carbofuran, and Omethoate—consistently return clear negative results.

· Safe & Operator-Friendly Formulation: The specialized extraction solution supplied in the kit is certified as safe and non-toxic for operators, allowing waste materials to be treated as general chemicals.

Step-by-Step Procedure

1. Simple Sample Extraction & Preparation

·  Comminution: Cut the fresh fruit or vegetable sample into small pieces (approx. 0.5 cm x 0.5 cm).

·  Primary Extraction: Weigh exactly 2.0 ± 0.1 g of sample pieces into a 30 mL sampling bottle and mix with 5 mL of the provided extracting solution.

·  Mixing & Settling: Vortex or shake the bottle thoroughly for 2 minutes, then let it stand undisturbed for 1 minute to allow the layers to settle. (Note: If the liquid is relatively turbid or cloudy, transfer 1 mL of fluid into a centrifuge tube and centrifuge at 4000 r/min for 3 minutes to obtain clear test solution).

2. Running the Assay

· Prior to testing, ensure the test cassette has equilibrated to a proper operating temperature environment (20–40 degrees C) and place the device on a flat surface.

· Pipette exactly 100 uL of the prepared clear sample solution directly into the sample well of the test cassette.

· Interpret the visual results between 8 to 10 minutes. (Do not read after 10 minutes, as late chemical shifts render the test invalid).
