FSTest ATP Swab – QuickTest
Rapid ATP Surface Hygiene Verification for Cleaning Validation
The FSTest ATP Swab – QuickTest is a ready-to-use sampling device designed for rapid hygiene monitoring when used together with an ATP Hygiene Monitor.
By detecting Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP)—the universal energy molecule present in living cells, microorganisms, and organic residues—it provides an immediate and objective evaluation of surface cleanliness.
The system delivers contamination data within seconds, helping users verify cleaning effectiveness, improve sanitation control, and support routine hygiene monitoring programs.
Why Perform ATP Hygiene Testing?
ATP is present in microorganisms and organic residues that remain after incomplete cleaning.
Traditional visual inspection cannot identify invisible contamination, while ATP monitoring provides immediate verification of sanitation effectiveness.
Routine ATP testing helps:
- Validate cleaning procedures
- Reduce cross-contamination risks
- Improve sanitation consistency
- Support HACCP and hygiene management programs
- Enable faster corrective actions
Key Features & Benefits
- Ultra-Fast Results: Obtain quantitative hygiene results within seconds after activation
- High Sensitivity: Advanced bioluminescence technology detects invisible organic contamination
- Objective Digital Measurement: Generates RLU (Relative Light Unit) values for standardized decision-making
- Ready-to-Use Format: Integrated reagent design requires no additional preparation
- Automatic Pass/Fail Evaluation: Compatible monitor provides instant hygiene assessment based on preset limits
- Reliable Sampling Performance: Designed for consistent sample recovery and reagent release
Applications
The FSTest ATP Swab – QuickTest is suitable for hygiene monitoring in:
- Food processing facilities
- Commercial kitchens and catering operations
- Beverage production plants
- Dairy and meat processing environments
- Hospitality and food service operations
- Healthcare and clean environments
- Food contact surface monitoring
Industries
- Food manufacturing and processing
- Quality assurance and quality control departments
- Food safety laboratories
- Hospitality and catering operations
- Environmental hygiene monitoring facilities
Simple 4-Step Testing Workflow
Step 1 – Sample Collection
Swab approximately 10 × 10 cm of the target surface using a cross-hatch pattern while rotating the swab.
Step 2 – Activate the Device
Return the swab into the tube and break the internal valve to release the reagent.
Step 3 – Mix the Sample
Squeeze the tube several times and shake gently to ensure complete reaction.
Step 4 – Read Results
Insert the activated swab into the ATP Hygiene Monitor and measure within 30 seconds.
Detection Principle
The assay is based on ATP bioluminescence technology.
When ATP collected from the surface reacts with the pre-loaded luciferase reagent, visible light is generated and measured by the ATP Hygiene Monitor.
Higher RLU (Relative Light Unit) values indicate higher levels of organic residue or microbial contamination.
